In celebration of my newly acquired literary representation, I’ve opted to open my A.G. Howard website, home to my historical and literary romances. Please take the time to explore and get a feel for the theme. I’ve recently sent my agent what I anticipate to be the final rewrite of my newest novel. She’s anxious to submit it to editors in the hopes to get us a book deal. FORGOTTEN SILENCES (title pending) is a literary romance set in Victorian England with a unique love triangle—sort of “Jane Eyre” meets “A Certain Slant of Light”. FORGOTTEN SILENCES, set in Victorian England
Nineteen-year-old Juliet Emerline, deaf since the age of nine, stumbles upon a flower while attending her mother’s funeral. Intrigued by the blossom, she digs it up and carries it home. When Juliet touches the petals, a mysterious man appears before her in ghostly form, singing an erotic lullaby. Juliet soon finds that she and Hawk—a name taken from the inscription on his tombstone—can interact mentally, though they can’t touch.
To investigate the mystery shrouding the ghost's death, Juliet and Hawk travel to a secluded manor and meet the dark and seductive Lord Nicolas Thornton, a man connected to Hawk’s past. Juliet begins to suspect that Lord Thornton knows more about Hawk's murder than he’s letting on. She doesn’t know who to trust: the man of flesh and bones that can relate to her through romantic gestures, heartfelt notes, and sensual touches … or the specter that serenades her with beautiful songs and ardent words, touching her mind and soul like no other man ever can.
As she wrestles the quandaries of her heart, she's lured into Lord Thornton's web of family secrets and uncovers sinister revelations that will alter her silent world forever.
